Life stories from someone who is always learning something new…

What an incredible day! We officially announced our calling to plant a church in Westwood‘s morning services. Pastor Les was so gracious to share the church’s commitment to partner with us and support us with prayer. We experienced a time of prayer and laying on of hands in both morning services. I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and the words of encouragment shared by our church family. God is truly at work in our lives. He continues to confirm His call on our lives to build the kingdom through a new work. To God be the glory!

I feel very unprepared to enter the Gospel minstry. Each day brings a greater realization of how little I truly know about God and His Word. I have wrestled with the idea that I am not fit to pastor a church because I haven’t completed my seminary education. Tonight as I read through the book of Acts, God showed me this verse:
"Now as they observed the confidence of Peter and John and understood that they were uneducated and untrained men, they were amazed, and began to recognize them as having been with Jesus. " (Acts 4:13, NASB95)
What a great testimony to the power of God in Peter and John! They were uneducated and untrained, yet God worked through them in a mighty way! We must not be fooled by Satan into thinking we are too insignificant to be used by our Lord. I am thankful that the Bible is alive today! God can speak to us through Scripture if we are willing to listen.
