You’re Invited to a public baptism of 10 believers at Oak Mountain State Park on Sunday, May 13, 2007!

Please join Iglesia Biblica de Alabaster Church celebratewith 10 new believers as they make public knowledge their belief in JesusChrist and His unique power to save.

Our worship service will begin at 1:00, followed by publicbaptism. Immediately afterwards we will share and enjoy grilled fajitas, rice,beans and a tres leche cake. There will even be a special recognition forMother’s Day, so bring your mom with you!

Research: Baptisms Are The Best Indicator of Health in Church Plants

A new study by the North American Mission Mission Board of the Southern Baptist convention shows that baptisms are the best indicator of health in new church plants.  These churches are active in evangelism, effective ministries, and growing their leadership.

“In the area of missions and evangelism, these new church plantsrecognize that the community will not connect with their church unlessthey connect with their community,” said Ed Stetzer, missiologist anddirector of NAMB’s research center. “They look for needs in thecommunity and find ways to meet those needs,” through food banks,emergency shelters, drug and alcohol recovery opportunities and otherministries, Stetzer said.

Mountain Valley Church ~ April Newsletter

MountainValley had its Grand Opening on Palm Sunday, April 1st. Our memberswere joined by guests from the community along with friends and family.

Wehad a total of 93 people attend with 31 of those who were children. George preached about our mission of “Loving God. Loving People.Serving the World.” It was a great day and we are excited about movinginto the next phase in the life of our church.
